Make 2017 Your Best Year Yet
2017 is here and instead of cramming a bunch of New Years Resolutions into your list of shit to do, I want to provide you with a better solution.
Now, before I tell you this little secret, I want to discuss 2016.
2016 was a bit more challenging than I had expected. I took over Arizona Training Lab full time and also built the framework of the DaveDreas.com Membership platform.
Doesn’t sound bad, huh?
It took a huge toll on my energy, my workouts, and my bank account.
When trying to build my ideal business I’ve came to the realization that you must build from the ground up. Not earth shattering to say the least. However, it’s very important.
Too many “fitpreneuers” want instant gratification. You’d think people that build phenomenal physiques over the course of time would realize that you must have patience in order to grow a thriving fitness business.
I’m relinquishing the fact that I’d like things done in 2 weeks. It’s going to take 2 years. That’s just the nature of it.
With regards to my energy, it can be tough getting up at 3:45, 3-4 days a week. By the time noon hits, you just want to take a nap.
On top of that, the last thing you want to do is the thing you loved the most, workout. For the first part of the year my workouts were non-existent due to the nature of training my clients and running my classes.
One could say, you could still workout and I agree, however, that didn’t happen.
What did happen though is I gained some perspective into the lives of my clients. I now fully understand how hard it is to grind all day and get a workout it. It’s much easier for the general fit pro than the general mom and dad.
So I am thankful for that.
As for my bank account? Lol. I definitely went into the hole but that’s the least of my worries. Doing what I love for a living and building something I truly believe in outweighs the number in the account.
With that said, it still can put stressors on everyday life. Something that one has to learn to manage, especially when building businesses that move at a snails pace.
The big caveat to this isn’t to tell you all about 2016. I could do that if you want at a different time…
It’s to tell you this…
Focus On ONE Big Thing In 2017
It sounds stupid and cliche but trust me, when you’re all over the fucking place nothing gets done. I was the king of that in 2016 and I won’t make that same mistake in 2017.
For me, my goal is to train you, here online. I have the platform and the ability to share all of my knowledge. On top of that, we can communicate daily as I can answer your questions and provide you with unlimited amounts of training insights.
More importantly, I want you to feel good. I want you to sleep better, eat better, have sex better, look better, and live better.
If you want 2017 to be your best year yet, I want to share in your successes and I want to be apart of it.
So your goal right now, and moving forward, is to do ONE thing.
Write down your ONE BIG THING, reverse engineer the plan so that it’s laid out for you and focus on JUST THAT.
Be consistent, have someone hold you accountable and maximize your potential.
You can do it.
